Designer Jamie Drake's New York apartment takes the concept of color to amazing new heights. Drake creates a flow by pulling the berry hue off the walls and using it for accents in the foyer and throughout the apartment. His home is one where art deco and 18th-century style live side by side. From guilded neoclassical-style armchairs and curved ottomans to a dynamic magenta couch, Drake's intense blend of styles and colors proves that beauty goes way beyond matching patterns and complementary colors.
In his master bedroom, Drake went wild with animal prints and a bright yellow hue dubbing the look "the new American glamour." Furnishings from different periods are combined in here as well for a look that is both eclectic and contemporary.
The guest bedroom is a bit more subdued with a blue, tan and white palette. Faux leather walls add warmth to an already cozy space.
