Hide CaptionShow CaptionFor a fun twist on a standard table, McAloon routed out three geometric shapes into the surface of the tabletop.
McAloon filled the table with crayons, small toys, plastic beads and other fun items and affixed them with a hot glue gun. Then she poured resin into the shapes to fill the space. (Resin is highly odorous, so do this in a well-ventilated area.) This is also a great idea for old, beat-up coffee tables. You can create little time capsules with photos, mementos, miniature collections, etc.
