Hide CaptionShow CaptionAbove the dining table in the designer room is a $3,000 iron and crystal chandelier with gold silk shades. The Double Take team found a similar chandelier at a home store for $120.
To make it an exact match, the base of the fixture is given a coat of spray paint as well as a coat of gloss. The shades are painted gray on the outside and gold on the inside. Finally, Christmas ornaments — crystals and strands of baubles — are used to adorn the chandelier.
