Inviting and Functional Home Office

A guest room/home office is given a new look. Projects include custom window treatments and rolling storage ottomans.

The end units are constructed out of 1" x 10" x 6" boards and stained to match the purchased bookcases.

The furniture is rearranged to make better use of the space. The sleeper sofa is situated on one long wall and flanked with new side tables that have file storage space in the drawers. Opposite the sofa is a new desk, two bookshelves on either side and matching end shelving units Snijders creates to accommodate the majority of the snow globe collection.

Baltzer creates custom curtains out of two different fabrics. She uses a solid faux suede for the top portion and large checked fabric for the bottom. She also adds a cotton lining to protect the panels from sun damage.
