The intimate dining area, inspired by the colors of spring, is the perfect backdrop for an afternoon tea. A classic striped fabric, designed by Barbara Barry, cover the walls. Light green paint on the ceiling brings out the detail of the beautiful crown molding (above, left). The mahogany-colored buffet contrasts with the light, natural palette for a rich, warm look (above, middle). The oval table is draped with layers of fabrics, lending a luxurious feel to the space. Instead of four chairs, the designer used a small settee and two chairs (above, right).
