The large-scale furnishings in this home fit well in the open living room because of the high ceilings. The walls are painted white in order to let the colors in the furnishings, fabrics and accents stand out. The side of the staircase is painted a high-gloss black to accentuate the staircase and add a touch of sophistication. Other black accents are scattered throughout the room for a cohesive look. On the mantel, Lohman placed a large mirror behind artwork and accessories to make the space feel larger.
The kitchen walls are striped green and white for a contrast to the red in the dining room. Blue and white fabrics and accents carry on with the English country theme. Dark wood chairs and framed artwork add a bit of drama to the breakfast area.
The bedroom has a romantic flair with a pink, white and green color scheme. The bed is the focal point and is upholstered in a pink and white check. The same fabric has been used for trim on the window treatments and the same color palette is found on the side chair and in various accessories. Wallpaper with a small green leaf pattern is a subtle background for the multitude of colors and patterns.
