Hot pink was everywhere in the '60s; modern, romantic and intense, it perfectly captured the spirit of the era. The hot pink of this millennium has a fresh element of sophistication that's very appealing and clearly not just for little girls' rooms anymore. Designer Alysa Weinstein shows how to use this forecast color to make over a living space in Brooklyn.
This loft living area has some nice pieces but the white walls aren't very interesting and none of the great artwork is hung. Plus, the very high walls are definitely not being shown to their best advantage. The whole loft is transformed just by adding a hot pink accent wall and some great contemporary furniture at affordable prices.
How do you give a room a new look with no money? Our redesigners show you how.
