Materials and Tools:
leather horse collar
stirrups
mirror
masonite
screws and nuts
picture hanger
copper tape
silicon glue
scrap wood
Steps:
1. To hold the mirror in place, precut a piece of masonite to fit snugly inside the collar.
2. Place four screws in the predrilled holes. Turn it over and attach a standard picture hanger over the screws and secure them with nuts.
3. Precut a piece of mirror to the same size of the masonite and edge it with copper tape. Then glue the two pieces together with silicon glue and set it aside to dry.
4. A piece of scrap wood will act as the shelf, and stirrups will attach it to the horse collar. Put the shelf up on blocks, taking it off the table. Then place a stirrup on each end and screw them in place.
5. Using the existing holes in the leather straps, screw the stirrup shelf to the side of the collar about halfway up on both sides.
6. Add the mirror to the inside of the collar and tighten up the buckles to secure it in place.
