Helping Out Hurricane Katrina Victims

Tyra and her daughters, Binkki and Kai lost everything in hurricane Katrina. While Tyra's husband, Gladdis, stayed in New Orleans to rebuild their home, Tyra moved to Hollywood so her daughters could pursue their dreams of becoming comedians. Now, designer Vern Yip and the Deserving Design team are going to redesign their home away from home to help make it feel a little more homier.

Teenage sisters Kai and Binkki share a bedroom that is very tight on space. Everyone finds a problem with this room. The girls think it is bland and boring; they would love to see more color in here. Their mom thinks the furniture is too young-looking for the girls, and Yip has a strong dislike for the dreary carpeting.
