Maj. Julian Bond served a tour of duty in the heart of Iraq. While he was deployed, wife Charmaine raised their four children on her own. Because he risked his life by serving our country, designer Vern Yip and the Deserving Design team are going to give back to him and his family by making over two areas of their house, one that they know about, and one that is going to be a total surprise.
The family refers to their garage as "the dump" because it is piled high with boxes and all sorts of random stuff. In their last home, the garage served as a play area for the kids. The parents would love to get this garage cleaned out and organized, so the kids could play in here. With a career in the military, the homeowners know they may have to move sometime soon. So, they need to be able to transform the space back into a garage if they have to sell their home.
