Designer Michelle Shields helped them create a personal and inviting master suite with traditional architectural details that makes a beautiful showcase for treasured family antiques.

  • A blue and white trellis rug set the color scheme for the bedroom. The pale, creamy white walls are paired with textiles in a blue and white check and toile patterns. Mahogany antiques stand out against the cool background and provide a warm, inviting feel to the room.
  • The cozy sitting area, which overlooks the back of the property, is furnished with two comfortable rocking chairs, a bookshelf and a coffee table.
  • Casement windows were chosen for the entire house because of their easy operation and horizontal design presence.

  • A soft color palette and family antiques make the master bedroom inviting and comfortable.
  • Shelves and hanging rods maximize storage in a narrow walk-in-closet.

  • The bathroom footprint is long and narrow. The vanities are located on opposite sides of the room. They use stock cabinetry with interesting pulls and are topped with rich slabs of mahogany and white porcelain sinks. Each vanity has its own distinctive mirror.
  • The fiberglass shower stall is located in the center of the room. The toilet is tucked behind a half wall. Cream and white striped walls adds to the traditional feel. The floor is simple white tile.
