Galley-Style Kitchen

After meeting with all the designers, Deidre and Kathrin choose Suzanne Furst for the project. Now the wood floors are warm, inviting and easy to clean. Bronze hardware keeps with the theme of an older, country feeling. The old cabinets went clear to the ceiling, but the new ones are lower and make use of the upper areas for antique copper pots. The vintage hood gives a nice country feeling, and the spice cabinet, located right by the stove, makes it very convenient for cooking. A new pantry provides additional storage. The kitchen walls are a soft yellow, while the dining room is a deeper mustard color, giving a more formal feel. There's nothing shabby about this new shabby chic kitchen. Furst managed to nearly double the size of the room, flood it with light and infuse it with a rustic feel.
