The walls are given a creamy yellow base coat and a textured design created with squeegees and a darker yellow top coat. They cut the squeegees to give them a tooth-like edge, apply the darker top coat, then drag the squeegees through the paint to create random swirling stripes.

Beyer creates "floppy" faux flowers out of wire and tissue paper. She forms the wire into a petal shape then glues painted tissue paper to the wire. Pipe cleaners are used for the stems.
