The four-poster bed in the designer room has simple and clean lines. A bed frame found at a secondhand store is trimmed down to remove its decorative elements so it will also have clean, simple lines. Posts are added and the whole piece is painted black.

The toile curtains in the inspiration room cost $14,000. Halili found a fabric with a similar country motif in a beautiful shade of blue for an unbelievable price of $15 per yard. Eight panels were made for the bed. Each panel is 2-1/2 yards long and is held to the bed frame with clip curtain rings.

Tip: If you want your curtains to look extra luxurious try adding a lining. It’s not that much more work or money, but it does add weight and body.
