Mounted film on Plexiglas is a low-cost project with a Hollywood touch that looks great in a screening room.Materials:
saw
plywood
Plexiglas
screws
drill
spray paint (silver and black)
painter's tape
craft glue
strips of film
frame hangers
Steps:
1. Cut two pieces of plywood and Plexiglas to the same size. Cut four small pieces of wood (about 1x1/2x1/2) to use as spacers. Screw two of the pieces to each piece of plywood, about one inch in from the edges.
3. Tape-off a rectangle on the plywood, and then spray the outer border black (figure B). Let dry.
4. Cut the film to the desired length and glue them to the Plexiglas. Drill screws through the Plexiglas into the wood spacers. Remove the protective plastic from the Plexiglas.
5. Attach hooks to the back of the plywood and hang.
