Floral Chandelier

Floral designer Ardith Beveridge shows how to dress up your chandeliers with beautiful blossoms and swags.

Materials:

wreath
bark wire
scissors
artificial swag
floral tape
assorted flowers and foliage
assorted ribbons if desired
floral wire
water tubes
decorative wire

  1. Attach a wreath upside down to the chandelier (figure A). Use bark wire (typically available at a floral store) to attach (figure B). This wire matches the wreath and is coated with a fabric that will prevent scratches to the chandelier.

  2. Cut a long piece of artificial swag into pieces. Weave the swag through the wreath and chandelier.

  3. You can now start to tuck an elegant combination of flowers and foliage (figure C) throughout. Water tubes are recommended for fresh flowers.

  4. Start to hang flowers in water tubes from the bottom of the chandelier (figure D). You can secure later with decorative wire.

  5. Accents can be changed out to suit the season. Ornaments and holiday decorations can be added.
