The room's enormous wall space is given a two-tone, textured treatment. Chair rail is normally hung 36 inches above the floor, but Kenneth chose to hang it a bit lower to accommodate the light switches and some of the furniture. Below the chair rail, the walls are painted a warm green that works well with the carpet. Above the chair rail, the wall covering has simple, subtle stripes that add a lot of texture to the room.

Kenneth's Tip: Combining textures and colors creates a luxurious feel.
