This gorgeous new family room project is all about budget. Hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller spray-paint a table to give it new life, build their own side tables and bring in a new sectional but stay lean and light with the accessories--most of which were gathered from other parts of the house.Choosing Trim Colors
Hiller shares her expertise when choosing trim colors. Look at the paint strip for the exact wall color chosen or find a strip that closely matches it. Then, for a subtle and blended look, paint the trim one shade lighter. For a bit more drama, go two shades lighter. Or, go darker to achieve a more stylish look. This is a sure way to keep the walls and trim in the same color family so they blend instead of clash.
