The bedding may look and feel like silk, but it's actually a polyester-weave blend — very practical for a couple with young children. Complementing pillows add some old-fashioned comfort wrapped in contemporary style.

A cheap, discount floor lamp is given more of a natural-style by covering it new materials. The base is spray painted silver. A large PVC pipe is cut to size and slipped over the lamp's pole. Bamboo place mats are then adhered to the pipe. A woven shade tops it off.
