It was three years until Giuseppe Garufi asked Perla Lichi on a date after meeting in a showroom. It did not take much longer for them to realize that this was a match made in designer heaven.
Lichi, an interior decorator, and Garufi, a marble distributor, joined forces in both love and design when they created their ideal European-style bedroom. From the Tuscany-influenced columns on the bed, to the Renaissance-style fresco above the bed, Lichi and Garufi have turned their bedroom into an eye-catching masterpiece. Drawing from their diverse heritages, the two created a romantic haven anyone can escape in--especially with a bed blanketed in 18 luxuriously plush pillows.
The molding around the room is adorned with a combination of gold and silver leaf, which adds a touch of architectural detailing that enhances the 11-foot ceiling. The luxurious look is carried through to the dramatic draperies, which are adorned with Medusa heads at the points. An opulent style is prevalent in the bathroom as well, where a Medusa head has been carved into the frosted-glass backsplash behind the tub.
