Designer Barbara Sculati sews rich draperies to highlight the backyard view. She uses a double-sided fabric that looks as good from outside as it does from the inside.

For the small window (left), Sculati turned an old lace tablecloth into a Roman shade. A cornice for the shade is made from a fabric-covered board and trim from an old frame. Then another lace tablecloth is draped in front of the shade to give it a more formal look. A small stool underneath the window is re-covered to match the windows.
