Wall Treatment / Paint- $175

• The light blue walls are accented with stripes and molding. Two painted stripes in silver and light green add interest near the ceiling while trim molding and brown paint create a paneled effect below (pictured).

Lighting - $150

• Baltzer replaces the chandelier with two hanging lamps suspended with ottoman legs. She drills out the centers of the legs, glues them together, then sprays them with coffee brown paint and polyurethane. Next, she threads electrical cord through the centers and attaches the chain. The lamps are hard-wired to the existing electrical box (which is covered with a decorative ceiling plate) and suspended over the table with hooks. She also creates a pair of matching table lamps for the buffet, using a ceiling plate as the base for a unified look.
