Eclectic/Hip Attic Guest Room

Homeowners Darby and Pieter Schouten need a guest room as well as a quiet retreat space from their daughter, Lily. Designer Karen McAloon helps them transform their 100-year-old attic space into a stylish guest room hideaway for under $40 by remixing items they already have with some found treasures left behind by the previous owner.

The homeowners would like to offer guests a special room just for them at the top of their stairs. As it is now, this cluttered space isn't exactly welcoming.
