After, dining room

More storage space is brought in with MDF (medium-density fiberboard) pyramid towers on top of each side table and a kidney-shaped coffee table is also created out of MDF. Sculati paints it black and adds a faux finish with silver paint and a kitchen sponge.

Two new sconces flank the sofa. Plain chandelier shades are jazzed up with faux fur trim and a white shade is embellished with cork dots for a fun polka-dot design.
More faux fur is used for shrugs on the dining room chairs and leather is used to cover the seats. A thrift-store chair is upholstered with faux snake skin.

A screen made out of bi-fold doors is used to hide the radiator.

Wall hooks are used to hold the homeowner's collection of guitars for an interesting display in the hallway.

Before, living room

Before these rooms were cluttered and dark. The area rugs were a stark contrast to the colorless walls. The furniture in the two rooms was mismatched and the flow between the two spaces needed some serious help.

Now these bachelors can enjoy their newly transformed retro-style apartment.
