In the Double Take room, a fireplace is on the left side of the sofa, so to mimic the table, a fireplace screen is built with the same matching block motif. Squares were cut from plywood and glued and nailed onto the backing board. A few squares are omitted to achieve the same 3-D effect as the high-end table. After a base coat, Michelle uses a dry brush technique to paint light strokes of brown on the blocks.
