Jeff Tuckel is a young bachelor who recently moved into his first home--a contemporary two-story penthouse in Los Angeles. Now that he is settled into his new space, Tuckel has decided it's time to add his style and character to the space so that he can really make it his own. He loves to cook and entertain and wants his place to be somewhere his friends will love to hang out and share a good meal. Since the entryway and dining room are the central areas and the spaces where Tuckel plans to spend the most time, he wants them to be very welcoming and comfortable and has enlisted the help of Designers' Challenge to help him start making his new house a home.
After careful consideration, he decides that Maria Videla-Juniel's sophisticated yet masculine design best suits his taste. What was once a blank slate has been totally transformed into an elegant and inviting room for dining and entertaining. Dark wood floors, rich fabrics and warm colors give the room a sophisticated look while new lighting and clean-lined furniture add character. The space as a whole is versatile and chic and has finally become a place where this busy bachelor is eager to spend his free time.
