Materials and Tools:
swag and jabot pattern
2 coordinating fabrics
lining
brush fringe
thread
staple gun
Steps:
1. The swag pattern can be adjusted for the width of the window so follow the instructions to cut both a top panel and a lining panel.
2. Once the pieces are lined, the gathering process takes place. On the swag, fold the sides according to the markings on the pattern, and then sew them together inside a fabric strip to give it a more finished appearance.
3. The same is done for the jabots. First, the folding is done according to the pattern markings, and then the folds are held in place by adding a fabric strip along the top.
4. The pieces can be attached to the wooden drapery rod by positioning them according to the pattern instructions and stapling them in place.
