Bird of paradise is a showy addition to any bouquet.
Who doesn't enjoy a fresh bouquet of flowers? Unfortunately most will look good for only about five to seven days. However, if you select your flowers carefully, you can create arrangements that last up to 14 days and still look good.

For a great bouquet with hardly any scent, such as for the dining room, arrange seeded eucalyptus, some lilacs, agapanthus, delphiniums, snapdragons, liatrus, and statice. Bear grass helps soften the edges. The lilacs will provide a mildly sweet aroma but, if you use just a few, it's not overpowering.

If you're looking for a bouquet with a little more color, you can achieve that by using the same flowers in different color combinations. Adding sunflowers always makes a bouquet pop.

To maximize the longevity of cut flowers, change the water daily.
