Hide CaptionShow CaptionThe brothers have a modern leather sofa, but the rest of the furniture is mismatched and could be replaced or refurbished.
Brothers Stanford and Wilston Poon are tired of their boring, cluttered living room. They run a clothing business out of their home, so they live, work and entertain in the same space. Using the modern furniture the Poon brothers already own and adding some touches inspired by their home state of Hawaii, the Design on a Dime team sets out to bring a tropical twist to a contemporary space.

The Dilemma
A shabby futon and cluttered TV stand can definitely go. The previous owner removed the sink from a wet bar, so now the area is being used for storage. The dining room, which is open to the living room, is used as the office. An unfinished wooden chest serves as the coffee table. The Poon brothers need some storage, window treatments and a place to dine.
