Guests rarely use the bathroom in the back, so she decided to work around the '70s-style tile rather than completely remodel it. She infused the space with an earthy theme using a wooden bowl as her inspiration. She painted the walls a combination of green and copper to pull in both colors of the bowl and blend in the umber-colored tile. She embellished the walls with a stone "trim" using craft-store pebbles hot-glued above the tile. She made stained-glass artwork to compensate for the lack of windows and framed a piece of wrapping paper for an inexpensive wall hanging.
The sun porch is decorated with a myriad of estate-sale and thrift-store bargains. Once an all-white space, it's now a warm room filled with earthy colors and natural materials. The windows are dressed with café-style curtains that were created from full-length panels.
