The family rarely uses their dining table, but they still need one for certain occasions. To remedy that, a small dining table is placed against the wall, creating a nook where the kids can play board games and do homework. The table is out of the way when the homeowners don't need it, but is still easy to pull out to the center of the room when they do need it.

The extra height allows the curtains to be hung just below the ceiling making the room feel larger and taller. Custom artwork is created by the design team and the homeowners' two young sons. The four geometric panels incorporate the paint colors from the striped walls and tie the whole room together.
