Add a "kick" to a lighting landscape with a cowboy boot lamp.

Materials and Tools:

cowboy boot
lamp pipe
lamp kit
hex clip frame (Waterfront Art Works -  #190121310)
handmade paper (Waterfront Art Works - Black Inc. Papers, #50312264)
suede cording
drill
plaster of Paris
twine

Steps:

  1. Drill a hole through the bottom of the boot alongside the metal shank.

  • Slide the lamp pipe up through the hole.
  • Fill the boot with plaster of Paris to make it stable.
  • Wrap twine around the part of the pipe visible above the boot.
  • Follow the package instructions for attaching the rest of the lamp parts.
  • Add a custom lampshade made with a hex clip frame and handmade paper. Hide any unfinished edges with suede cording.
