Cow Figurines
Ultimate Collectors : Episode UTC-210 -- More Projects »
California housewife Tara Ancil was inspired to begin collecting cows when her then-husband to be, Chris, proposed to her in the middle of cow country. Their daughter, Tabitha, is already showing signs that she will follow in her mother's footsteps.
Ancil's collection includes an entire wedding party set of cow figurines (figure A), and she is searching for the final piece--the husband cow proposing to the wife cow. Here are some quick tips on how to start your very own collection:
- Mary Moo Moo figurines are hard to find, but won't cost you much when you finally locate them! An average price for a Mary Moo Moo birthday figurine (figure B) is $15.
- Mary Moo Moos that were made in 2000 are limited pieces. There were only 7500 produced and can sell for $70 to $75.
- If you like your cow collectibles to have a little star quality, look for Elsie the Cow items. Elsie dolls from the 1950s can be worth more than $150, and an Elsie 12-inch barrel-shaped cookie jar from the 1950s can go for more than $300.
