The bedroom has a three views of the woods.When Lynn DiMenna found a 100-year-old English style cottage in a wooded area of Fairfield County, Conn., she knew it was just what she and her husband were looking for. Recent empty-nesters, they wanted to downsize, but still have room for children to visit. They wanted a private place to relax that would be an easy commute into New York City. To make it all work, however, some major remodeling was in order.
