The sculptural shell art and coral display in the designer room have a combined price tag of $720. The team fashions their own renditions for just $57. To make the shell artwork, a stair baluster and wooden round are fastened together to make a pedestal and the base. A hole is drilled through the top of the baluster so that a dowel can be used to attach the shell to the baluster. For the coral display, Halili found a sterling-silver bowl at a thrift store for just $6. The big chunk of coral came from an aquarium pet shop.
