Contemporary Touch Transforms Clunky Family Room

The walls are painted golden yellow to blend in with the already existing color palette in the adjacent rooms. A custom-made table is built to hold the homeowners’ new TV. An antique credenza in the next room is the inspiration for the table’s curved design. The table's marble top matches the new marble shelf placed on top of the three-quarter divider wall (bottom). A pair of rugs helps to visually break the room so it doesn’t appear long and narrow.
