AfterAfter careful consideration, Denise decides that Jennifer Hayes's plan best suits her needs and wants. The new kitchen and family room make a spectacular statement with stylish contemporary accents and an open floor plan that suits her lifestyle. Higher ceilings, new windows and new lighting go far in brightening up the once-dark space while the dark tiled floor has been replaced with light but durable bamboo.
Red birch cabinets and granite countertops in the kitchen add a contemporary classiness that is enhanced with new stainless steel appliances. That look is also carried over into the family room by replacing the peninsula with a floating table and island that blend the two spaces, as well as replacing the old fireplace mantel with a stainless steel surround and a plasma TV. Finally, the light ultra suede sofa and ottoman finish off the room with class and warmth. The new space is comfortable and easy to maintain for Fritz and Denise's newest family member, Daisy, yet still classy and inviting for guests.
