$82 - Wall and Floor Paint
The concrete floor is painted a terra-cotta color and the paneled walls are freshened with a honey butter color. A "rug" is painted on the floor using the yellow and terra-cotta colors, which are bordered with black paint. A natural fiber rug is placed in the center of the design. $30 - Coffee Table / Toy Chest
Carpenter Jeff Meyer creates a custom coffee table / toy chest with a hinged lid for easy access inside.

$9 - Glass Painting
Sundet creates wall art on a piece of glass using a simple paint technique. She enlarges a sunflower image, lays it beneath the glass and traces the image onto the glass with a permanent pen. She fills in the stem and and center of the flower with black paint, which lets the wall color show through the flower petals.

$12 - Window Treatments
The basement windows are enhanced with a unique treatment using drawer liner. Meyer creates wood frames to fit inside the windows; Sundet paints the drawer liner light yellow and staples it to the back of each frame. The liner helps to diffuse the light during the day and at night, it's barely noticable because it blends into the wall.

$76 - End Tables
Two end tables are created out of terra-cotta pots, which are painted black. A 12-inch pot is set upside-down and an 18-inch pot is glued on top to create the table base; a round glass top is glued to the pot.
