A dining area is added to the room. A discarded tabletop from a restaurant is spruced up with a little stain then the homeowner’s bookshelf is altered to make a sturdy table base. A set of secondhand chairs are restained and the seats are re-covered to match the valances. A pair of jar lights from salvage store is painted hammered bronze then hung over table (click on the After photo). For the final touch, a centerpiece is made using a glass vase filled with river rocks and a candle.
