The makeover starts by painting the already-textured walls metallic blue. The cool blue works beautifully with the room’s warm woodwork and floors. One wall is covered with acoustic panels to give the guitar-playing homeowner better sound when he has his friends over for a jam session. To make the panels, men’s suiting material and batting is wrapped around plywood. Holes were predrilled into the plywood so some big buttons can be threaded through for a tufted look. The homeowner's hand-me down wooden cubes are perfect for extra storage and seating, all they needed was a little paint.
