Architect Keith Malcom Brown used the Georgian style design of the home’s exterior for inspiration in the master suite. Host Joan Kohn tours the luxurious result.

• A quiet color palette, rich fabrics and textures combine with high ceilings and soft lighting to create an elegant retreat.
  
• The master suite uses a circular design, with the bedroom and lady’s dressing room on the front, and the bath and man’s dressing room in the back.
  
• Lots of texture instead of color was used to create interest in the bedroom. Celadon green and cream combine for a serene palette. Silk fabrics in slightly different shades and patterns combine for an elegant effect. The ceiling-high windows are dressed with silk panels that have elaborate trim for a soft, residential look.
