Hide CaptionShow CaptionCarpenter Chris Ashe and homeowner Joe Cotti make a custom bar cabinet that's perfect for entertaining.
Bar Cabinet Project

First, they build the base unit with two doors for closed storage. The top unit consists of two open shelves to hold glassware and bottles. Both sections are stained and then a mirror is added behind the shelves. The sections are assembled with an inexpensive wooden countertop sandwiched in between. To make the feet, Ashe cut random shapes out of wood and combined them with a few store-bought feet. For a unique look, each foot was painted a different color. Finally, lights are added to the inside of the cabinet to shine through the slits that were cut into the doors.
