A series of the couple's favorite images and illustrations says this space belongs to both of them now and the futon is ready for guests to spend time here as well.
An armoire from another room, revamped bookcases (they were distressed by hitting them with screws wrapped in rags and then stained to bring out the marks) and moving the futon to the left creates a much more functional and inviting room.
