Charlie's Angels action figures
Mike Pingel, an actor, publicist and designer, devoted an entire room of his Los Angeles home to his Charlie's Angels memorabilia. His collection, which began with a few posters and puzzles, has grown to include more than 1,000 pieces, including magazine covers, dolls and a $300 dress-up kit.

Pingel's meeting with Angel Cheryl Ladd has only fueled his desire to continue collecting. His passion for the 1970s hit show eventually offered him the opportunity to work as an "angelologist" in the Charlie's Angels 2000 film.

Here are some quick tips on how to start your very own collection:

  • Look for adventure outfits for the Jill and Chris dolls. They were originally made in the '70s and can go for $35 to $75, depending on condition.

  • Jewelry sets made by Fleetwood Toys in 1977 can also be valuable. They typically go for $100 or more a set.
