AfterThe Solution
The guest room goes from chaotic to clean-lined in just one day. Here's how the design team pulls it off:
- The walls are painted in two tones of green divided by a chocolate-colored chair rail. The top part is painted a subtle chartreuse and the dark portion is painted a deep olive. The chair rail is made of 1/4-inch medium-density fiberboard (mdf).
- Anderson constructs an industrial-style upholstered headboard featuring a metal grid design. He cuts mdf to size and lays square pillows out in a grid, attaching them to the board with staples. The pillows are then covered with chocolate-colored fabric, which is stapled to the back. The metal grid is created using aluminum strips secured with carriage bolts.
