Castle-Inspired Basement

The Walsh family is a fun loving bunch that wants a space their family can enjoy together. Although their son Colin is a typical, active four year old, he suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. Trisha and Chris Walsh would love to have a place for him to play when inclement weather keeps him indoors. With $4,000 and the help of volunteers, the Design on a Dime team creates a castle-inspired basement fit for royalty.

The kids have outgrown many of the toys and are ready to let them go. The homeowners would like the toys that remain to find a home in closed storage. The Walshes are ready to divvy up the space so that there's plenty of room for play, but also a nice place for the grownups to hang out and relax.
