The Solution
Interior designer Lee Snijders and design coordinators Summer Baltzer and Charles Burbridge warm up the room with soft Caribbean colors and change out the lighting. The walls are painted sky blue, while the molding is trimmed in walnut brown. To give the molding a faux-wood grain texture, a squeegee, with zigzag notches cut out, is pulled over a coat of reddish-brown paint mixed with faux glaze.
