  • Organize old buttons according to themes, like Johnson did with this piece of nautical shadow box art. She cut buttons off of old Navy uniforms and used mother-of-pearl buttons to reflect the sea. She covered the shadow box backing with a piece of white burlap and hot-glued the buttons in a pleasing arrangement.
