To conceal the TV, designer Cy Winship made a box from foam core, layered it in felt then glued reinforced strips of the same felt in a looping pattern to give it a woven appearance. The homeowner's cabinet and wooden trunk are adorned with cone-shaped, clay spacers from an old kiln then both pieces are painted deep brown.
