Bland to Beautiful Living Room

The portion above the mantel is painted slate gray to complement the other colors in the room. A faux-finish marble effect is painted in the space between the mantel and hearth. Tip: When decorating a small space, use similar color tones on the walls, rug and curtains so there is less contrast and more unity. Keeping large pieces and surfaces fairly similar helps expand the room. Add color and texture with your accessories.
